Various Roads, Womenswold in the District of Canterbury - Amendment 8: Speed Limit Order
Consultation has concluded
The effect of this proposed Order would be to implement a 30mph speed limit on the following length of roads in Woolage Green, Womenswold, Canterbury:
- Westcourt Lane – from its junction with Wick Lane and Woolage Green Road for a distance of 381 metres in a southerly direction
- Wick Lane – from its junction with Westcourt Lane and Woolage Green Road for a distance of 371 metres in a north westerly direction
- Woolage Green Road – from its junction with Westcourt Lane and Wick Lane for a distance of 232 metres in a north easterly direction.
This order is being made for the following reasons:
- for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
- for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians)
- for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
