Various Roads, Maidstone in the Borough of Maidstone - Variation 49A: Waiting Restrictions

This order is an Amendment to the below order (variation 49) due to a road name error.

The effect of this proposed Order would be to introduce or amend existing waiting restrictions on the following lengths of roads in Maidstone in the Borough of Maidstone:

  • Headingley Road – on the southwest from its junction with Maxwell Drive for a distance of 19 metres in a north westerly direction
  • Maxwell Drive – on the west side from its junction with Headingley Road for a distance of 19.5 metres in a south westerly direction

This proposed order is being made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.

  • Ash Grove – on the southwest side between points 19 metres east and 19 metres west of its junction with Maxwell Drive
  • Howard Drive – on the northeast side between points 19 metres northwest and 20.5 metres southeast
  • Maple Avenue – (1) on the northeast side from a point in line with the boundary of 38/40 Maple Avenue in a northwest direction following the kerb line around the turning head then a southeast direction to a point in line with the boundary of 31/33 Maple Avenue including the circumference of the central island (2) single Yellow Line Mon-Fri 8-9am and 3-4pm on both sides from the boundary of 2/4 Maple Avenue for its entire length to join up with the above proposed DYLs
  • Maxwell Drive – (1) on both sides of its junction with Howard Drive for a distance of 21.5 metres in a north easterly direction (2) on both sides of its junction with Ash Grove for a distance of 19.5 metres in a south westerly direction.
