Various Roads, Deal in the District of Dover - Amendment 104: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this made Order will be to introduce new or to extend or amend existing waiting restrictions (double yellow lines) on the following lengths of roads in Deal in the District of Dover:

  • Albert Road - (1) on the east side on both sides of junction with Bridgeside for a distance of 55 metres in a northerly direction and 10 metres in a southerly direction. (2) on the west side on both sides of junction with Court Marsh Road for a distance of 50 metres in a northerly direction and 15 metres in a southerly direction.
  • Bridgeside - on both sides of junction with Albert Road for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction.
  • Court Marsh Road – (1) on both sides for its entire length. (2) on both sides from its junction with Lydden Close to its junction with Albert Road.
  • Lydden Close – on both sides for its entire length.
  • Poplar Drive – on both side of its junction with Court Marsh Road for a distance of 7 metres in a south westerly direction.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
  • for facilitating the passage of the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

(2) on the west side on both sides of junction with Court Marsh Road for a distance of 50 metres in a northerly direction and 15 metres in a southerly direction.
  • Bridgeside - on both sides of junction with Albert Road for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction.
  • Court Marsh Road – (1) on both sides for its entire length. (2) on both sides from its junction with Lydden Close to its junction with Albert Road.
  • Lydden Close – on both sides for its entire length.
  • Poplar Drive – on both side of its junction with Court Marsh Road for a distance of 7 metres in a south westerly direction.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
  • for facilitating the passage of the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

    Following the statutory consultation period, the scheme has been reviewed and the decision has been taken to make this Order permanent.

    Anyone may, by application to the High Court by 1 July 2024, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
