St Stephens Hill, Canterbury in the District of Canterbury - Amendment 6: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this made Order will be to amend the existing waiting restrictions on St Stephens Hill in the District of Canterbury – (1) on the northeast side between numbers 38 and 32 St Stephens Hill remove the double yellow lines (DYLs) and replace with a zebra crossing (2) on the northeast side outside 30 St Stephens Hill reduce the Bus Stop Clearway and place DYLs outside 28 St Stephens Hill (3) on the southwest side opposite 38 and 30 St Stephens Hill remove the school keep clear markings and replace with a zebra crossing (4) on the southwest side opposite 30 and 26 St Stephens Hill relocate the bus stop clearway by 11 metres in a southerly direction also taking up 3 metres of DYLs.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).
