Cheriton Road, Folkestone in the District of Folkestone & Hythe - Amendment 3: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this made Order will be to place double yellow lines waiting restrictions on Cheriton Road in Folkestone, Folkestone and Hythe – (1) On the south side place 1 hour limited parking with no return for 2 hours 8am to 6pm Mon-Fri from a point opposite the eastern entrance to The Harvey Grammar School for a distance of 103 metres in an easterly direction. (2) On the north side remove the school keep clears and replace with a new crossing point and relocate the bus clearway to the east of the school entrance. (3) On the south side place a new crossing point across the entrance to The Harvey Grammar School. (4) On the south side place DYL from a point 14 metres east of the junction with Beachborough Road for a distance of 80 metres in an easterly direction.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).
