Alders Meadow, Tonbridge in the Borough of Tonbridge & Malling - Amendment 6: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this made Order will be to introduce double yellow lines waiting restrictions on the following length of roads in Tonbridge, Tonbridge & Malling:-

  • Alders Meadow – DYL – (1) On the east side from a point 13 metres north of its junction with Audley Avenue for a distance of 30 metres in a northerly direction (2) Place a Bus Stop Clearway outside 14 Alders Meadow. SYL (Mon-Sat 8am-5pm) – (3) On the north east side from a point 63 metres north of its junction with Audley Avenue for a distance of 47 metres around the turning head.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • to avoid the danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

    Following the statutory consultation period, the scheme has been reviewed and the decision has been taken to make this Order permanent.

    Anyone may, by application to the High Court by Monday 9 March 2026, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
