Public Footpath ZR109 (part) Bobbing, Rail Crossing Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2024
Kent County Council has received an application, and subsequently made an Order, to divert part of Public Footpath ZR109 at Bobbing where it passes over railway level crossing.
Under the Highways Act 1980, an Order may be made to close or divert a Public Footpath, Bridleway or Restricted Byway where it is in the interests of the safety of users or likely users of at grade crossings. The test to be met in consideration of this Order is singularly the safety of users of the route. Other factors such as convenience (but not enjoyment) to the public, and the effect on the overall network, have also been considered.
Further details about the application (including how to respond) and a plan showing the proposal can be found by viewing ZR109 Diversion Order, ZR109 Order Notice and ZR109 Statement in the Documents section.
