Workhouse Lane, East Farleigh in the Borough of Maidstone - Amendment 11: Speed Limit

The effect of this proposed Order would be to introduce a 30mph speed limit on the following length of roads in East Farleigh, Maidstone:-

  • Workhouse Lane – for its entire length
  • Stockett Lane – from a point 25 metres north of its junction with Workhouse Lane in a southerly direction to join up with the existing 30mph speed limit.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
