Westerham Hill, Westerham in the District of Sevenoaks - Amendment 4: Speed Limit

Consultation has concluded

The effect of this proposed Order would be to introduce a 40mph speed limit on the following length of roads in Westerham, Sevenoaks:

A233 London Road – From its junction with Pilgrims Way for a distance of 200 metres in a southerly direction.
A233 Westerham Hill – From its junction with Pilgrims Way for a distance of 910 metres in a northerly direction.
Pilgrims Way – From its cross junction with London Road and Westerham Hill for a distance of 140 metres in a westerly direction and 170 metres in an easterly direction.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
