Washford Farm Road, in the Borough of Ashford - Amendment 24: Waiting Restrictions
Consultation has concluded
The effect of this proposed Order would be to introduce double yellow lines (DYL) waiting restrictions on the following length of roads in Ashford:-
- Bensted – DYL – (1) On the north west side from its junction with Washford Farm Road for a distance of 7.5 metres in north easterly direction. (2) On the south east side from its junction with Washford Farm Road for a distance of 11 metres in a north easterly direction. (3) On the north west side introduce a single yellow lines (no waiting Mon-Fri 7am-7pm) from a point 7.5 metres north east of its junction with Washford Farm Road for a distance of 21 metres in a north easterly direction. (4) On the south east side introduce a bus stop clearway from a point 11 metres north east of its junction with Washford Farm Road for a distance of 19 metres in a north easterly direction
- St Stephens Walk – DYL – (1) On the south side from a point 5.5 metres west of its eastern boundary with 57 St Stephens Walk for a distance of 31 metres in a westerly direction. (2) On the north side opposite from a point 3.5 metres west of its eastern boundary with 69 St Stephens Walk for a distance of 25 metres in an easterly direction. (3) On the south side introduce a bus stop clearway from a point 5.5 metres west of its eastern boundary with 57 St Stephens Walk for a distance of 19 metres in an easterly direction. (4) On the north side introduce a bus stop clearway opposite from a point 3.5 metres west of its eastern boundary with 69 Stephens Walk for a distance of 19 metres in a westerly direction
- Washford Farm Road – DYL – (1) On the north side from its junction with Bensted for a distance of 10 metres in a northwesterly direction. (2) On the east side from its junction with Bensted for a distance of 6 metres in a southeasterly direction.
This order is proposed for the following reasons:
- for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
- for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians)
- for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
