Victoria Road West, Littlestone in the District of Folkestone and Hythe - Amendment 18: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this proposed Order would be to place double yellow lines (DYL) and no parking at any time on the verge or footway on the following lengths of roads in Littlestone, Folkestone and Hythe:-

  • Victoria Road West(1) On the north east side place DYL’s outside properties 30-36 Victoria Road West. (2) On the north east side place no waiting at any time on the verge or footway restrictions outside properties 16-28 Victoria Road West and from the eastern boundary of 2 Victoria Road West to its junction with Park Road. (3) On the north east side place DYL’s from the western boundary of 12 Victoria Road West for a distance of 76 metres in a easterly direction. (4) On the south west side place no waiting at any time on the verge or footway restrictions outside properties 33-39 and 9-23 Victoria Road West. (5) On the south west side place DYL’s from the eastern boundary of 33 Victoria Road West for a distance of 7 metres in a westerly direction. (6) On the south west side place DYL’s from the western boundary of 31B Darcy Square Victoria Road West to the eastern boundary of 25B Darcy Square Victoria Road West. (7) On the south side place DYL’s from the western boundary of 23 Victoria Road West for a distance of 7 metres in an easterly direction. (8) On the south west side place DYL’s outside properties 1-7 Victoria Road West.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
