Various Roads, Willesborough in the Borough of Ashford - Amendment 18: Waiting Restrictions
Consultation has concluded
The effect of this proposed Order would be to introduce waiting restrictions ( double yellow lines) on the following length of roads in Willesborough in the Borough of Ashford:-
- Alfred Road – (1) on the northwest side between points 5 metres north east and 6 metres south west of its junction with Wainwright Place (2) on the south east side from the junction with New Town Green for a distance of 34 metres in a southerly direction (3) on the north west side between points 10 metres north and 10 metres south of its junction with Belmont Place (4) on the south side from its junction with Sterling Road for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction (5) on the south west side from its junction with Stirling Road for a distance of 10 metres in a north westerly direction (6) on the south side from its junction with Beazley Court for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction (7) on the south east side from its junction with Beazley Court to its junction with New Town Road (8) on the west side from its junction with New Town Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south westerly direction
- Beazley Court – on both sides from its junction with Alfred Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south easterly direction
- Belmont Place – (1) on the north arm of the north side from its junction with Alfred Road for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction (2) on the north arm of the south side from its junction with Alfred Road for a distance of 8 metres in a westerly direction
- New Town Road – on the south west side between points 10 metres south and 10 metres north of its junction with Alfred Road
- Stirling Road – on both sides of the junction with Alfred Road for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction
- Wainwright Place – (1) on the north side from its junction with Alfred Road for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction (2) on the west side from its junction with Alfred Road for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction.
This order is proposed for the following reasons:
- for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
- for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians)
- for preventing damage to the road or to any building on or near the road
- for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
