Various Roads in Margate and Ramsgate in the District of Thanet - Amendment 2: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of the proposed named Order will be to introduce waiting and loading restrictions at any time on the following length of roads in Margate and Ramsgate, Thanet:-

  • Ramsgate Road - Margate - (1) On the north east side place no loading at any time restrictions from the junction with Perkins Avenue to the junction with the hospital entrance. (2) On the north east side from the junction with the hospital entrance place no loading at any time for a distance of 160 metres in a south easterly direction.
  • Wellington Crescent - Ramsgate – (1) On the south east side place no loading at any time restrictions at a point opposite the boundary of 17/18 Wellington Crescent for a distance of 44 metres in a north easterly direction. (2) On the east side place no loading at any time restrictions opposite Eastcliff House from the existing Bus Clearway to the unlimited parking bays. (3) On the south side place no loading at any time restrictions from the rear boundary of 6/7 Kent Terrace for a distance of 44 metres in an easterly direction. (4) On the south side at the rear boundary of 12/12a Kent Terrace extend the existing DYLs and reduce the unlimited parking bays for a distance of 9.5 metres in an easterly direction.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians)
  • for preventing damage to the road or to any building on or near the road.

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
