Various Roads, St Nicholas at Wade in the District of Thanet - Amendment 6: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this made Order will be to introduce waiting restrictions (Double Yellow Lines) at any time on the following length of roads in St Nicholas at Wade, Thanet:-

  • Bridges Close - On both sides of its junction with Down Barton Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south easterly direction
  • Court Road - On its south west side at its junction with Down Barton Road for a distance of 10 metres in a north westerly direction
  • Down Barton Road - (1) On the south east side to a point 10 meters north east and to a point 10 meters south east of its junction with Bridges Close. (2) On the south side at its junction The Street for a distance of 20 metres in a south westerly direction (3) On the north west side at its junction Court Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south westerly direction
  • The Length - (1) On the south west side of its junction with Manor Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south easterly direction (2) On both sides from the western boundary of number 4 Sea View Cottages The Length for a distance of 57 metres in a south easterly direction. (3) On both sides of its junction with A28 Canterbury Road extending the existing double yellow lines for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction
  • Manor Road - (1) On the north west side of its junction with The Street for a distance of 17 metres in a southerly direction (2) On the east side of its junction with The Length for a distance 18 metres in a southerly direction
  • The Street - (1) On the south side at its junction with Down Barton Road for a distance of 20 metres in a south easterly direction.(2) On the south west side of its junction with Manor Road for a distance of 10 metres in a north westerly direction.

This Order was originally proposed as Amendment 24 but due to the recent consolidation order it has been re-named as above.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians)
  • for preventing damage to the road or to any building on or near the road.

  • Down Barton Road - (1) On the south east side to a point 10 meters north east and to a point 10 meters south east of its junction with Bridges Close. (2) On the south side at its junction The Street for a distance of 20 metres in a south westerly direction (3) On the north west side at its junction Court Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south westerly direction
  • The Length - (1) On the south west side of its junction with Manor Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south easterly direction (2) On both sides from the western boundary of number 4 Sea View Cottages The Length for a distance of 57 metres in a south easterly direction. (3) On both sides of its junction with A28 Canterbury Road extending the existing double yellow lines for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction
  • Manor Road - (1) On the north west side of its junction with The Street for a distance of 17 metres in a southerly direction (2) On the east side of its junction with The Length for a distance 18 metres in a southerly direction
  • The Street - (1) On the south side at its junction with Down Barton Road for a distance of 20 metres in a south easterly direction.(2) On the south west side of its junction with Manor Road for a distance of 10 metres in a north westerly direction.
