Various roads, Shepherdswell in the District of Dover - Amendment 114: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this made Order will be to introduce new or to extend or amend existing waiting restrictions (waiting to be prohibited at all times) on the following lengths of roads in Shepherdswell in the District of Dover:-

  • Carpenters Yard – on both sides of its junction with Coxhill for a distance of 8 metres in a south easterly direction
  • Coxhill – (1) on the southeast side from its junction with Carpenter Yard for a distance of 25 metres in a north easterly direction (2) on the southeast side from its junction with Carpenters Yard for a distance of 10 meters in a south westerly direction.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

    Following the statutory consultation period, the scheme has been reviewed and the decision has been taken to make this Order permanent.

    Anyone may, by application to the High Court by 3 June 2024, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
