Various roads, Ramsgate in Thanet - Amendment 2: Speed limit order

The effect of this proposed Order would be to reduce the current speed limit from 30MPH to 20MPH on the following lengths of roads in Ramsgate.

Harbour Street
York Street
Harbour Parade
High Street
King Street
Maderia Walk
Queen Street
Royal Parade


This order is being made for the following reasons:

  • avoid the danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
