Various Roads, Patrixbourne and Bridge, in the District of Canterbury - Amendment 2: Speed Limit
The effect of this proposed Order would be to change the existing 30mph speed limit and implement a 20MPH speed limit on the following lengths of roads in Patrixbourne, Canterbury:
Keeper's Hill – From its junction with Old Palace Road and The Street for a distance of 110 metres in a south easterly direction.
Old Palace Road - From its junction with Keeper’s Hill and The Street for a distance of 118 metres in a north easterly direction.
Patrixbourne Road – From its junction with The Street for a distance of 292 metres in a southerly direction.
St Mary's Road– For its entire length.
The Street- From its junction with Keeper’s Hill for a distance of 310 metres in a north westerly direction.

Bridge Hill – From its junction with Bourne Park Road and High Street for a distance of 160 meters in a south easterly direction.
High Street – From its junction with Bridge Hill for a distance of 670 metres in a north westerly direction.
Patrixbourne Road – From its junction with High Street for a distance of 440 metres in a north easterly direction.
Pett Hill – From its junction with Union Road for a distance of 40 metres in a north westerly direction.
Brewery Lane, Brickfield Close, Bridgeford Way, Churchill Close, Conyngham Lane, Dering Close, Dering road, Filmer Road, Ford Close, Green Court, Meadow Close, Mill Lane, Mount Charles Walk, Riverside Close, Saxon Road, Union Road, Western Avenue and Windmill Close – For their entire length.
This order is proposed for the following reasons:
For avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
For preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
For facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).
The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
