Various Roads, Milton Regis, Sittingbourne in the Borough of Swale - Amendment 12: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this made Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time double yellow lines on the following length of roads in Milton Regis, Sittingbourne, Swale

  • Court Road – On both sides of the road at its junction with North Street for a distance of 10 metres in a south easterly direction
  • Frobisher Close – On both sides of the road at its junction with North Street for a distance of 10 metres in a south easterly direction
  • Hawkins Close – On both sides of the road at its junction with North Street for a distance of 10 metres in a south easterly direction
  • North Street – (1) On the north west side from the eastern property boundary of 12 North Road for a distance of 80 metres in a north easterly direction to the entrance of Regis Manor Primary School. (2) On the north west side 62 metres north east from the entrance of Regis Manor Primary School for a distance of 8 metres in a south easterly direction. (3) On the north west side 30 metres east from the eastern boundary of the island outside Milton Regis Primary School for a distance of 20 metres in a north easterly direction. (4) Outside the Regis Manor Primary School around the entire island place double yellow lines at all times and a loading restriction Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm. (5) On its south side to a point 15 metres east and west of its junction with Court Road. (6) On its south side to a point 15 metres east and west of its junction with Frobisher Close. (7) On its south side to a point 15 metres east and west of its junction with Hawkins Close. (8) On the north west side outside Regis Manor Primary School place 20 minute limited waiting bays with no return for 1 hour.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians)
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.

    Following the statutory consultation period, the scheme has been reviewed and the decision has been taken to make this Order permanent.

    Anyone may, by application to the High Court by Monday 29 June 2026, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
