Various Roads, Maidstone in the Borough of Maidstone - Amendment 11: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this proposed Order would be to replace current restrictions with single yellow lines (SYL) with restrictions of No Waiting Mon-Sat 8am-6.30pm or double yellow lines (DYL) on the following length of roads in Maidstone:-

  • Huntsman Lane- SYL- (1) on the west side 20 metres from its junction with Ashford Road for a distance of 32 metres in a northerly direction (2) on the south side 84 metres from its junction with Ashford Road for a distance of 28 metres in a westerly direction
  • Hildenborough Crescent – DYL – on both sides of the road to the entrance to Allington Primary School from a point 15 metres south for a distance of 24 metres in a northerly then easterly and westerly directions.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
