Various Roads, Lower Halstow in Swale - Amendment 5: Speed limit order

The effect of this made Order will be to reduce the current speed limit to 20mph on the following lengths of roads in Lower Halstow, Swale:-

  • Breach Lane – From its junction with The Street to a point 50 metres west of 18 Westfield Cottages.
  • Burntwick Drive, Crouch Hill Court, Cumberland Drive, Curlew Avenue, Elm Farm Road, Heron Close, Landrail Road, Lapwig Drive, Orchard View, School Lane and The Green – For their entire length.
  • The Street – From the western boundary of Green Farm in an easterly direction to its junction with Sheerness Road.
  • Vicarage Lane – From its junction with The Street to the northern boundary of Halstow Cross.
  • Westmoreland Drive – For its entire length.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
