Various Roads, Loose in the Borough of Maidstone - Amendment 32: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this made Order will be to place double yellow lines (No waiting at any time) on the following length of roads in Loose, Maidstone:-

  • Loose Road – On the north side from southern kerbline of Walnut Tree Avenue for a distance of 56 metres in a northerly direction.
  • The Farrows – (1) On the north east side from the eastern boundary of 10 The Farrows for a distance of 26 metres in a westerly direction. (2) On the south west side from its junction with Pearce Gardens to a point 11 metres east and 11 metres west.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

    Following the statutory consultation period, the scheme has been reviewed and the decision has been taken to make this Order permanent.

    Anyone may, by application to the High Court by 6 July 2026, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
