Various Roads, Kennington in the Borough of Ashford - Amendment 5: Speed Limit

The effect of this proposed Order would be to create a 20mph zone on the following length of roads in Kennington, Ashford:-

  • Ball Lane, Beauchamp Close, Billington Gardens, Bloomsbury Way, Bockhanger Lane, Broadhurst Drive, Burton Road, Church Road, Dale Walk, Dudley Road, Garden Place, Goteley Mere, Grosvenor Road, Hurst Road, Lower Vicarage Road, Marlborough Way, Nettlefield, Okehampton Close, Portland Close, Randolph Gardens, Rookery Close, Rothbrook Drive, Sherwood Close, St Marys Green, Studio Close, The Grove, The Ridge, The Street, Tile Kiln Road, Towers View, Tritton Close, Tritton Fields, Ulley Road, Upper Vicarage Road and Warwick Road – For their entire length.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).


The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
