Various Roads, Harbledown in the District of Canterbury - Amendment 9: Speed Limit Order
Consultation has concluded
The effect of this proposed Order would be to implement a 30mph speed limit on the following length of roads in Harbledown, Canterbury:
- Chartham Hatch Road – from its junction with Faulkners Lane and Church Hill for a distance of 17 metres in a southerly direction
- Church Hill - from its junction with Chartham Hatch Road for a distance of 229 metres in an easterly direction
- Faulkners Lane – from its junction with Chartham Hatch Road for a distance of 117 metres in a westerly direction.
This order is being made for the following reasons:
- for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
- for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians)
- for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
