Various Roads, Greenhithe in the Borough of Dartford - Amendment 28: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this made Order will be to introduce waiting restrictions (double yellow lines, waiting to be prohibited at any time) on the following roads in Greenhithe in the Borough of Dartford:-

  • Cotton Lane – (1) on the south side 7 metres east from the western boundary of Warner House for a distance of 196 metres in a westerly direction (2) on the north side 40 metres east from its junction with Gantry Place for a distance of 40 metres in a westerly direction (3) on the north side from the western junction with Gantry Place for a distance of 60 metres in a westerly direction
  • Gantry Place – on both sides of its junction with Cotton Lane for a distance of 5 metres in a northerly direction.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

    Following the statutory consultation period, the scheme has been reviewed and the decision has been taken to make this Order permanent.

    Anyone may, by application to the High Court by 14 October 2024, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
