The effect of this made Order will be to implement the speed limit of 50mph on the following length of roads in Eastry, Dover:
A256 Eastry Bypass – from the roundabout with Dover Road, Cater Road and A256 Whitfield Bypass for a distance of 150 metres in a northeasterly direction
A256 Whitfield Bypass – from its junction with Dover Road for a distance of 850 metres in a south westerly direction
Dover Road – from its junction with the A256 Whitfield Bypass for a distance of 85 metres in a northerly direction
Straight Mile – from its junction with the A256 Whitfield Bypass for a distance of 35 metres in an easterly direction
Venson Road – from its junction with the A256 Whitfield Bypass for a distance of 35 metres in a westerly direction.
This order has been made for the following reasons:
for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).
