Various Roads, Dartford in the Borough of Dartford - Amendment 1: Prohitibition of Traffic Movements
Consultation has concluded
The effect of this proposed Order would be to prohibit all vehicles from entry except buses on the following length of roads in Dartford:-
- Fastrack Ingress Link - at the junction with Station Approach change the existing signage to No Entry Except Local Buses
- Fastrack The Bridge – at the junction with Joyce Green Lane for a distance of 245 metres in a northerly direction change the existing restriction to No Entry Except Local Buses and Cycles
- Fastrack Dartford Crossing – at the junction with Crossways Boulevard change the existing signage to No Entry Except Local Buses
- Ingress Park Avenue – at the junction with Fastrack Ingress Link change the existing signage to No Entry Except Local Buses
- Marsh Street North – at the junction with Fastrack The Bridge Change the existing signage to No Entry Except Local Buses
- Rennie Drive – (1) at the junction with Fastrack The Bridge Change the existing signage to No Entry Except Local Buses (2) at the junction with Fastrack Dartford Crossing Change the existing signage to No Entry Except Local Buses (3) place a new bus lane on the eastern carriageway for a distance of 62 metres from the junction with Fastrack Dartford Crossing (4) on the eastern side from the roundabout with Fastrack The Bridge place a new Bus Lane from a point 41 metres north for a distance of 32 metres in a northerly direction
- William Mundy Way – over the River Darent change the existing signage to No Entry Except Local Buses and Cycles.
This order is proposed for the following reasons:
- for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
- for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
- for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).
The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
