Various Roads, Boxley in the Borough of Maidstone - Amendment 14: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this made Order will be to place double yellow lines on the following length of roads in Boxley, Maidstone:-

  • Bellgrove Court – (1) on the north side from its junction with Impton Lane for a distance of 14 metres in a north westerly direction (2) on the south side from its junction with Impton Lane for a distance of 13 metres in north westerly direction
  • Boxley Road – on both sides to a point 10 metres northwest and 10 metres southeast from its junction with Brownelow Copse
  • Brownelow Copse – (1) on both sides from its junction with Boxley Road for a distance of 24 metres in a south westerly direction (2) on south side to a point 11 metres northeast and to a point 11 metres west from its junction with Cossington Road
  • Cossington Road – on both sides from its junction with Brownelow Copse for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction
  • Impton Lane – on both sides to a point 10 metres north east and 10 metres south west of its junction with Bellgrove Court
  • Walderslade Woods – on the north side to a point 15 metres east and 15 metres west from its junction with Wildfell Close
  • Wildfell Close – on both sides from its junction with Wildfell Close for a distance of 23 metres in a northerly direction.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preventing damage to the road or to any building on or near the road
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

  • Walderslade Woods – on the north side to a point 15 metres east and 15 metres west from its junction with Wildfell Close
  • Wildfell Close – on both sides from its junction with Wildfell Close for a distance of 23 metres in a northerly direction.

    Following the statutory consultation period, the scheme has been reviewed and the decision has been taken to make this Order permanent.

    Anyone may, by application to the High Court by 5 January 2026, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
