Various Roads, Ashford in the Borough of Ashford - Amendment 6: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this made Order will be to change the advisory School Keep Clear markings to enforceable markings between Mon-Fri 8am-5pm on the following length of roads in Ashford:

  • Ashford Road, Great Chart – on the north west side across both entrances to Ashford Prep School
  • Church Hill, High Halden – on the west side opposite St Marys Church
  • Church Lane, Challock – on the east side across the entrance to Challock School
  • Essella Road, Ashford – on the south west side across the entrance to The North School
  • Rectory Close, Woodchurch – on the south east side across the entrance of Woodchurch School
  • School Hill, Chilham – on the north east side outside Little Belke
  • School Road, Charing – on the south west side across the entrance of Charing CEP School
  • The Street, Wittersham – on the south east side opposite 32.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians)
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
