The Street, Adisham in the District of Canterbury - Amendment 4: Speed Limit

The effect of this proposed Order would be to change the existing 30mph speed limit and implement a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of roads in Adisham, Canterbury:

  • Pond Hill - From its junction with The Street for a distance of 45 metres in a northerly direction.
  • The Street – From its junction with Pond Hill and Station Road, for a distance of 1200 metres in a southerly direction.
  • Woodlands Road – From its junction with The Street for a distance of 12 metres in a westerly direction.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • For avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • For preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
  • For facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
