Station Road, Charing in Ashford - Amendment 2: Traffic movement order

The effect of this made Order will be to prohibit vehicles to turn right except emergency vehicles when on call on Station Road in Charing, Ashford. This will be at its junction with Maidstone Road (A20) all vehicles will only be able to turn left into Maidstone Road and travel in a north westerly direction and will be prohibited from turning right.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).
