Stanhope Road, Swanscombe in the Borough of Dartford - Waiting Restrictions Experimental Order

The effect of the Experimental Order would be to remove a build out and some parking bays and replace with DYLs (Double Yellow Lines no parking at any time) on Stanhope Road in Swanscombe, Dartfordon the north east side remove the build out outside 19/21 Stanhope Road and replace with DYLs to the boundary of 25/27 Stanhope Road.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • to avoid the danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

The Order will come into effect on the 27 August 2026 on an experimental basis for a period of eighteen months. The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
