St James Street, Dover in the District of Dover - Amendment 5: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this proposed Order would be tointroduce or amend double yellow lines no waiting restrictions at any time on the following length of roads in Dover:-

  • St James Street – On the north east side extend the existing double yellow lines and introduce No loading and unloading at any time from a point 9 metres north of its junction with Woolcomber Street for a distance of 18 metres in a northerly direction.


This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians)
  • for preventing damage to the road or to any building on or near the road.


The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
