Sevenoaks District Council (Public Footpath SR526 (Part) Chiddingstone) Public Path Diversion Order 2023

Kent County Council has received an application (on behalf of the local planning authority), and subsequently made an Order, to divert part of Public Footpath SR526 at Chiddingstone.

Under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, an Order may be made to close or divert a Public Footpath, Bridleway or Restricted Byway where it is necessary to do so to enable development to take place.

    The Order was certified on 31 July 2025 and has now taken effect

  • 14 July 2023

    This Order has now been confirmed, but note that it will not take legal effect until the County Council certifies that the new path has been provided to the correct standard.

    If a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, they can make an application to the High Court within 6 weeks from the 14 July 2023.
