South Street, Barming in the Borough of Maidstone - Amendment 8: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this proposed Order would be to place double yellow lines on the following length of roads in Barming, Maidstone:-

  • South Street – (1) on the east side from its junction with Tonbridge Road for a distance of 54 metres in a southerly direction (2) on the west side from its junction with Tonbridge Road for a distance of 43 metres in a southerly direction
  • Tonbridge Road – on the south side between points 7 metres west and 14 metres east of its junction with South Street.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
