Sandwich Road, Whitfield in the District of Dover - Amendment 10: Speed Limit Order

The effect of this proposed Order would be to remove existing 40mph speed limit and change it to 30mph on Sandwich Road in Whitfield, Dover – from a point 20 metres north of its junction with Napchester Road to the northern boundary of the property called North-End.

This order is being made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
