Public Footpath ZF7 and Restricted Byway ZF4A at Faversham - Modification and Extinguishment Orders 2023

Consultation has concluded

Kent County Council has made two Orders, to amend the legal record of Public Rights of Way, known as the Definitive Map & Statement, by deleting and adding parts of Public Footpath ZF7 at Faversham.

Under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, the County Council may make an Order to modify the Definitive Map & Statement where evidence shows that a path has been recorded incorrectly and where it is considered that a public right of way which is not shown on the map is reasonably alleged to subsist.

Kent County Council has also made an Order, to extinguish parts of Public Footpath ZF7 and Restricted Byway ZF4A at Faversham.

Under the Highways Act 1980, an Order may be made to close a Public Footpath, Bridleway or Restricted Byway where it is considered to be no longer needed for public use.

    The Orders were confirmed by the Kent County Council on 12 June 2023 and took effect upon confirmation.

    The confirmed Orders may be viewed in the Documents section.

    The period for applying to the High Court expires on 1 September 2023.
