Kent County Council has received an application, and subsequently made an Order, to amend the legal record of Public Rights of Way, known as the Definitive Map, by recording a Public Footpath running between Public Footpath CW48 and Sydney Road at Whitstable.
Under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, the County Council may make an Order to modify the Definitive Map where it is considered that a public right of way which is not shown on the map is reasonably alleged to subsist.

This Order was confirmed on 27 April 2021 and has now taken effect. If a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, they can make an application to the High Court within 6 weeks from the 21 May 2021.
