Planting herb seeds for pollinators

Whilst there isn’t much to be done in the garden for pollinators in February, you can start germinating plants for the year ahead. The weekend just gone, we opened the herb-planter kit we got for Christmas and planted the seeds. The herbs that came with the kit were basil, chives, and parsley, and whilst parsley is not the best herb for pollinators, basil and chive flowers are great. Setting aside for wild flowers and weeds+

I have already designated a part of the garden behind my greenhouse to sow wild flowers and add to the nettles. Last year we planted early flowering perennials (Nepeta, Lavender, etc) in our front garden for the bees and bugs. It worked so well last year so we have increased the area to increase the food source until other plants come into flower.
