Old Lane, Ightham in the Borough of Tonbridge & Malling - Amendment 4 : Prohibition of Traffic Movement

The effect of this proposed Order would be to prohibit all vehicles from entry except for access on the following length of roads in Ightham, Tonbridge and Malling:-

  • Old Lane and Short Lane – For their entire length.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preventing damage to the road or to any building on or near the road.
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).


The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
