Oad Street, Stockbury in the Borough of Maidstone - Amendment 20: Speed Limit

The effect of the order would be to introduce a 40mph speed limit in Stockbury, Maidstone on the following length of road:-

  • Oad Street - From its boundary with Swale Borough Council to its junction with Pett Lane.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).


The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
