Thank you to everyone that gave their views. The consultation report is now available in the Document section. Your feedback is being used to shape recommissioning of the service from April 2023.
We would like to hear your views on community mental health and wellbeing services that are provided in the community. Kent County Council (KCC) and Kent & Medway Clinical Commissioning Group (K&M CCG) wants to ensure community mental health and wellbeing services deliver the personal outcomes which are most important to Kent and Medway residents.
When we talk about community mental health and wellbeing services in this consultation, we are talking about the following services:
Live Well Kent and Medway
Mental Health Housing Related Support (Kent only)
24-7 Telephone and Online Support Service for Kent and Medway (Release the Pressure helpline)
Activity Programme for Young People aged between 14 – 35 who have suffered from a first episode of psychosis (Kent only)
KCC and K&M CCG are responsible for providing services to keep people well, prevent mental illness and support people who have experienced a mental health problem to recover and stay well. Therefore, to achieve this KCC and K&M CCG jointly commission the services listed above.
It does not include mental health services provided directly by in-patient and community NHS services and services delivered by KCC Social Work teams.
Services are currently delivered across Kent and Medway by a wide range of local charities and organisations. KCC and K&M CCG directly contract with two providers, known as Strategic Partners, who both deliver services directly and subcontract to a wide-ranging Delivery Network of providers.
The contracts with the two Strategic Partners come to end on 31 March 2023. Therefore, in preparation for the start of the new contract, KCC and K&M CCG wants to ensure services deliver the personal outcomes which are most important to Kent and Medway residents.
