London Road, Stone in the Borough of Dartford - Amendment 5: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this proposed Order would be to introduce and amend double yellow lines (DYL) on the following lengths of roads in Stone, Dartford:-

  • London Road – DYL - (1) On the north west side extend the existing double yellow lines from a point opposite and in line with the western boundary of the Electricity Distribution Site for a distance of 183 metres in a north easterly direction. (2) On the south east side from its junction with Saltwood Avenue for a distance of 95 metres in a north easterly direction. (3) On the south east side from its junction with Saltwood Avenue for a distance of 80 metres in a south westerly direction.
  • Saltwood Avenue – DYL – On both sides from its junction with London Road for a distance of 5 metres in a southerly direction.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
