Grove Ferry Hill, Upstreet in the District of Canterbury - Amendment 18: Speed Limit

The effect of this proposed Order would be to change the existing speed limit to a 30mph speed limit on Grove Ferry Hill and Grove Ferry Road in Upstreet, Canterbury – from its junction with Island Road for a distance of 660 metres in a south easterly direction.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
