Grove Ferry Hill and Road, Upstreet in the District of Canterbury - Amendment 5: Traffic Movements

The effect of this proposed Order would be to change the weight limit from 18t to 7.5t on Grove Ferry Hill and Grove Ferry Road in Upstreet, Canterbury – prohibit vehicles of more than 7.5t from crossing the bridge in both directions.
This order is proposed for the following reasons:
- for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road of for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
- for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
- for any of the purposes specified in Paragraphs (a) to (c) of subsection (1) of section 87 of the Environment Act 1995 (air quality).
The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
