Public Footpath (ER273 (Part) Ringwould with Kingsdown Creation and Extinguishment Orders

Kent County Council has received an application, and subsequently made Orders to extinguish and create part of Public Footpath ER273 at Ringwould with Kingsdown
Under the Highways Act 1980, an Order may be made to close or divert a Public Footpath, Bridleway or Restricted Byway where it is in the interests of the landowner and/or the public to do so. In considering a proposal, the County Council will have regard to whether the new route is substantially less convenient to the public and the impact of the proposed diversion on the public enjoyment of the route as a whole.

This Order was confirmed on 27 April 2021 and has now taken effect. If a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, they can make an application to the High Court within 6 weeks from the 27 May 2021.
