Bridleways ER16 at Langdon and EE498 at Ripple Definitive Map Modification Orders 2023

Consultation has concluded

Kent County Council has received an application, and following the discovery of evidence, subsequently made an Order, to amend the legal record of Public Rights of Way, known as the Definitive Map and Statement, by recording a Bridleway (ER16) from the existing length of Bridleway ER16 (Point A on the order plan) to Ringwould Road at Point B in Langdon.

Alongside this, the Secretary of State directed Kent County Council to make an Order, to amend the legal record of Public Rights of Way, known as the Definitive Map and Statement, by recording a Bridleway (EE498) from the existing length of Bridleway ER16 (Point A on the order plan) to Ringwould Road at Point C in Ripple.

Whilst individual orders, due to their close proximity they are being advertised together.

Under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, the County Council may make an Order to modify the Definitive Map where it is considered that a public right of way which is not shown on the map is reasonably alleged to subsist, or where it is directed to make an order by the Secretary of State.

    On the 3rd April 2024 the Kent County Council confirmed both of the above Orders without modifications.As such, the orders came into effect on the 3rd April 2024.
