Eastern Esplanade, Broadstairs in the District of Thanet - Amendment 7: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this proposed Order would be to introduce school keep clear markings Mon-Fri 8.00am-9.30am and 2.30pm-4.30pm on the following length of road in Broadstairs, Thanet:-

  • Eastern Esplanade - On the west side across the rear school entrance to Stone Bay School for a distance of 25.5 meters.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).
  • for preventing damage to the road or to any building on or near the road.


The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
