We are inviting comments on our refresh of Kent County Council’s (KCC) Developer Contributions Guide.

The Guide provides Local Planning Authorities, Parish Councils, Developers, Landowners and interested parties with an overview of the contributions that we may seek from developments, as part of the planning process.

It is vital that KCC, as the provider of most of the key, large-scale physical and social infrastructure in Kent, such as education, highways, and waste, secures funding and provision to address the impact of growth on existing infrastructure.

As part of the planning process, we may seek financial contributions or infrastructure provision (including planning obligations) to help address the impact of development, to ensure that new growth is not at the expense of infrastructure and service available to existing residents and businesses.

Your views matter

We welcome your feedback on the draft Guide and the technical appendices, in particular your views on how easy it is to find the information you require and whether the content is clear and informative.

We recommend you read the draft Guide and any associated appendices before completing the questionnaire below.

What happens next?

Feedback from the consultation will be used to help us finalise the Guide. A report summarising our analysis of the feedback will then be published. It will be presented to the Growth, Economic Development and Communities Cabinet Committee.
