Canterbury City Council (Public Footpath CB246 (part), Barham) Public Path Diversion Order 2023

Kent County Council has received an application (on behalf of Canterbury City Council) and subsequently made an Order, to divert part of Public Footpath CB246 at Barham.

Under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, an Order may be made to close or divert a Public Footpath, Bridleway or Restricted Byway where it is necessary to do so to enable development to take place.

    On 15 January 2024, Canterbury City Council confirmed the above Order under section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and on 26 January 2024 the Kent County Council – on behalf of Canterbury City Council – certified that the terms of Article 2 have been complied with, and as such the order has come into effect.
