Canterbury Road, Kennington in the Borough of Ashford - Amendment 15: Speed Limit Order

The effect of this proposed Order would be to reduce the existing 40mph speed limit to 30mph speed limit on Canterbury Road in Kennington, Ashford from 28 metres from its junction with The Street for a distance of 90 metres in a north easterly direction.

This order is being made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
